Death of Joseph P. Fairchild.

Joseph P. Fairchild, one of Keener townships best cities, died Tuesday morning, after a long illness. His age is 47 years, 4 months and 2 days. He had lived in Jasper county since 1865. His disease waa? chronic catarrh, which developed into consumption. He leaves a widow, who was a second wife, and 5 children. Three of adult age, and two that are 4 and 10 years old, respectively. A post-mortem*was held Tuesday evening by Drs. Washbum and Jones. They found that he died of Consumption, there being large cavities in both lungs. The heart, liver and other organs were healthy with the exception of the stomach which was contracted to the size of the stomach of a child.
