FROM WHEATFIELD.
Mr. Mish, who had his leg broken some time ago, is getting better fast B. 8. Fendig, of Rensselaer, was in these parts last week, buying fur. Mr. Williams, of Crown Point, was in Wheatfield, Sunday. The meetings at Center have met with some success, a few sinners have returned into the fold. The box-supper at Center Saturday evening, for the benefit of the Young People’s Reading Circle, was a success, financially and socially. Another hope not yet realized is that the mail train now fast at every station will by a government deal become fast moving instead of fast staying. Wt> heard of a man going out to press hay the other day when it was so foggy, who couldn’t find his press, and afterwards found he had been in fifty yards of it Another incident ot like nature worthy of note is that the fog was so dense that the Democrats could not see the Republicans.
