The Town Board.

Christie Vick resigned his half of the night-watchship, and Willis McColly, incumbent of the other half, has now got the whole job. C. B. Steward, official flue inspector, reported that he had ordered the repair of 53 chimneys and 51 had been repaired. The other two must be repaired in 5 days, or torn down. One belongs to J. E. Spitler, the other to G. K. Hollingsworth. Vai Seib notified the Board to fill up the ditches in Scott street, extended, as he owned the extension and intended to lenuv i. up. A new side walk was ordered around Halloran’s Scrap-iron Park, and old walks were condemned fronting the properties of John Greenfield, Mary C. Hopkins, John Harris, Dr. Horton, Mary E. Hopkins and Ellis Walton.

The committee on fire pump, report that a good iron pump will enet too much for present finances, and a cheap wooden affair will be bought for the present.
