Still a Mystery.
Laporte Herald. (72) It is still a mystery what has become of John Quigley, the man who committed the theft in Hanna, and who was supposed to have been shot while being pursued by Deputy Frehse in Jasper county. Officers and farmers have been on the lookout for him ever since, but no word has been received stating that he has been seen. Some express the opinion that the shot he received was fatal, and that he died in the underbrush in that forsaken spot in which the skirmish took place. Such does not seem probable, however, as that section has been tliofdughly examined for any trace of the culprit.
