The Township Trustees Hire The Teachers.

Indianapolis Journal. Numerous inquiries have been addressed to Superintendent of Public Instruction Vories, asking if it is true that the Supreme Court has ever made a decision giving the patrons of a public school the right to elect a teacher. He said yesterday that he had inquired of several of the Supreme Court judges and that ho had not learned of any such decision either lately or at any other time. Such a ruling, lie said, would virtually give the employment of teachers into the hands of the people of the district, whereas the law very plainly puts this duty into the hands of the ' township trustees.
