Citizens of Frankfort, Ind., lately had an opportunity to see largest living man that hisfCry has mentioned. He is named John Wilson Craig and with his wife and 3 year-old posterity was visiting relatives. Craig’s home is Danville, Hendricks Co. but he has been exhibiting himself since babyhood. In answer to a question he replied substantially: “I now weigh 907 pounds at 32 years old. At birth I weighed 11 pounds; at 11 months old weighed 77 pounds; at 5 years old 206 pounds. Then I took the SI,OOO premium at Barnum’s babyshow in New York city in the year of 1858. At 5 years old I weighed 302 pounds; at 13 years 405 pounds; at 20, 601 pounds; at 22, 725 pounds; at 27, 758 pounds; at 28,774 pounds; at 29,791 pounds; at 30, 80G pounds; at 31,836 pounds. I am 6 feet and 5 inches high, measure 8 feet and 4 inches around the hips, 18 inches around the ankle, 29 inches around the knee and 66 around the thigh next to the body. I require 41 yards of cloth for a suit of clothes and 3 pounds of yarn for a pair of stockings. Mrs. Craig is a good looking blonde, weighs 130 pounds and formerly accompanied her husband in the role of “Zola Ayers.” When asked how long they had been married, she laughingly remarked that they were first married in 1882 but that they were just now enjoying, their 2d honey moon as they were divorced m January and remarried but two weeks ago.
