The Town Convention.

And This Is The Ticket. Town Trustee, Third District, GEORGE K. HOLLINGSWORTH. Town Trustee, Fifth District, ANCIL WOODWORTH. For Town Clerk, CHAS. GUY SPITLER. For Town Treasurer, ' CHARLES C. STARR. For Town Marshal, THOMAS McGOWAN.

The Republican voters of Rensselaer, to the number of 140 and odd, met in mass convention, at the court house,. Monday evening, and nominated candidates to be voted .for at the May election. Dr. I. B. Washburn was chosen chairman of the meeting and T. J. McCoy and E. L. Hollingsworth, secretaries. For Councilman or Trustee, for the third ward, or district, the present incumbent, J. H. S. Ellis decline! a renomination, and Geo. K. Hollingsworth was nominated by acclamation.

For trustee for the Fifth District, Ancil Woodworth, the present incumbent, was renominated by acclamation. Chas. G. Spitler, town clerk, was renominated in the same manner. For town treasurer the names of C. C. Starr, present incumbent, and A. H. Hopkins were proposed. The vote stood 80 for Starr to 36 for Hopkins. For town marshal the names of M. L. Warren, present incumbent, Thomas McGowan and Charles Platt were proposed.
