Our people that were on the sick list are rapidly reeevejing with the exception of Mrs. Asa Tyler who has heeh^nln^tohefNiaTo^feT^^ week. Births, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Erwin a boy; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Granger a girl. Sam’l. McGinnis’ house is very near completed. We understand it is going to be occupied by E. E. Knight. Ed. Erwin came home last Monday from Dwight, 111., where he has been receiving the Keeley medical cure. The Free Methodists held their second quarterly meeting beginning last Friday .evening and continued over Sunday. The Presiding Elder was present. Miss Maggie R. Lang will close her school next Friday. - Berc Goff, of Rensselaer, has been giving the ducks and geese a hot chase on the Kankakee marsh. He put up at Wm. Granger’s hotel at Red Oak. V Miss Ruth Fairchild was,completely surprised last Sunday It being Easter Sunday her friends and relatmes assembled at her residence and had an EaSter Egg party, in honor of the day. There were 22 guests who dined upon eggs having thrm cooked in many differerent waysY ( ~ B. G. Warren and family left last Monday for their future home in Rensselaer. Sam Luce is expected home the latter part of this week and is going to remain nt home. Look out girls.
