To Test Spectacles.
Any one can test for himself tl e accuracy of the glass in a lons or pair of spectacles. All that is necessary is to hold the glass at a convenient distance, say one half of an arm’s length from the eye, aud sight some small object through it. Then move it slowly and carefully from side to side, up and down, and observe whether there is any flickering or distortion of the form of the object seen through it. If there is, the glass is worthless, and should be at once rejected.
