The case of Jacob Groet vs. M. O. Halloran, and that of M. O. Halloran vs. Jacob Groet, in each of which a calf was the property in controversy, were tried by jury, and in. both oases the decisions were against farmer Halloran. The cost* thus thrown upon him amount to about 1200.
