-■ -■ —-/■ —.A Judge Wiley arrived Monday as ternoon,. and immediately opened court Judge McConnell, of Logansport and Judge VViley exchanged benches yesterday. Judge VViley having to go to Logansport to hear motions in cases he tried previously. The grand and petit juries are both called for next week. John W. Pullins plead guilty to gambling, and was lined $5 and costs Reba Thomas vs. Howard Thomas, for divorce. Plaintiff failed to appear and case dismissed, at her cost. David J. Thompson vs. Joshua W. Sheldon, et al. Decree quieting title to real-estate, in plaintiff.

O. C. Halstead vs. D. S. Makeever. Motion to retax costs in road case. Motion granted and 81 of cost taxed a gainst plaintiff. Fred Johns vs. Town of Remington . For damages for injuries in defective side-walk. Settled by parties and dismissed at plaintiff’s cost. J. 11. Willey vs. Rachel M. Price, on note; judgment for plaintiff for $78.11 and costa. Geo. H. Brown vs. Matthew Fraser; decree quieting title in plaintiff. Andrew Boston vs. M. Van Arsdale, et al. Decree quieting title. Jonas Goss vs. Daniel H. Turner, on note; settled by parties. Hugh Nelson vs. Chas. Mauter, replevin. Settled by parties and dismissed. Amanda Wolf vs John Wolf. For divorce. Dismissed by agreement of parties, at defendant’s cost. James Halleck vs. L. N. A. & C. Ry. Co. Suit for damages, from fire. Venue to Newton county, on defendant’s motion.

People’s Pilot vs. Andrew Minnikus. Suit for publication fee in saloon license case. Held that the paper is one of general circulation, and entitled to recover amount of fee. Judgment against plaintiff for costs. Mary J. Fenwick, et al vs. Ollie Ulm, et al, in partition. Commissioner reported land sold tor $7,200 and proceeds divided.
