FROM HOGAN.
The Christmas tree was elegant, and full of fine presents. Mr. Santa Claus was present and told us we did not have so much snow here as where he lives, at the North Pole. The music for the occasion was furnished by the brass band and the Hogan quartette. There was about SSOO worth of presents and fully 500 people of all ages present. The school house being too small to accomodate more than half to sitting room. The Hogan literary stands adjourned until Friday, Jan. 5, 7 p. m. We hope that the Meyers Brothers will locate in our town. The more stores the more trade, and the day is not far distant when Hogan will take a boom. The rabbit hunters are not making a fortune this winter, the birds of the fur kind.have gone away and we hope gone to slay. . Cutting hay on the ice on the Woodard slough gives employment to several. The crop in quantity and quality is good. Fred, Jr. and Henry Hasselbriug and Hanna, their sister, came home to spend the Christmas with their patents. * Sheriff Hanley was at the Christmas tree. Daniel James Rodgers got a Christmas present, it was put on the tree by himself. The delinquent tax collector, Mr. Frank Hart, was in town Friday, the 23 rd.
