Sheriff was seen on our streets Monday in a hurry. Wonder what it means. Geo. Peters and son have put up a mammoth hay barn ns they are dealing in hay extensively. The Hogan Literary Society met at their first regular meeting Saturday evening fuel had a full house. The debaUi was the occasion of much interest, the subject being “The Homestead Strike.” Our paper, “Tha Hogan News” is an able paper for the interest of the society. Edited by the well known editress Miss-Lizzie Bailengerv— The question for debate next meeting is “Resolved that Women Should have the rights of Suffrage. Regular meetings every Friday night at 7hev Isaac Sell, of this section, is going to move to Newton Co. ,in the spring to £o into the dairy business. Sorry to lose a good Republican citizen. Fred Hasselbring, the Blacksmith has to have an extra man to help shoe horses, as he is so crowded with the work he cannot do it alone. Our Doctor, C. V. Jones, is kept on the go all the time. John Willey says he does not care now how election went. His oldest daughter is just a 10 pounder, There is going to be a good Christmas tree at the Hogan school house Christmas cr.
