The third big cow sale will be held at this place next Friday. Ourpaople are becomicg very entkusastie over the creamery, and are taking hold cf the business in good earnest. Mr. Zurd and several others are building large cow-stables, and nearly ail of our farmers are handling as many of tne quadrupeds as possible. Our little village is now without a vacant house and everything is booming. Messrs. Gustavus Grant and Anson Cox of Rensselaer attended the Literary at the Osborne school-house last Friday night. There seems to be some other attraction other t.tmq Literary for these young men out this way. The Hanging Grove Literary Society had a good meeting at the Osborne school house last Friday . The next si ssion will he at Marlboro, Dec. 17, 1892. Miss Hala Robinson left Hanging Grove last Tuesday to spend the ' winter with her sister Mrs. E. S. Kenton, who lives south of Rensselaer. Mrs. Leni Detrick was called to the bad-side of her aged m other who lives at Clay City Indiana. There seems to be very little hope of the aged woman’s recovery. Miss Lillie Peregrine was the guest of Miss Ella Hanley last Saturday and Sunday. Miss Marie Robinson has come home to spend the winter. About twehty young couple attended the ‘ ‘Oy ster Slipper” and “Cinch’ ’ party given by Miss Rose Detrick and L. H. Hamilton at the home of die latter. All present-, report an enjoyable occasion.

I-There was no Institute last Satur-1 day in this Township on account of j the teachers association taking The place of our Institute. Elmer Kenton and wife spent last Saturday and Sunday visiting in this neighborhood. ’
