The people of Jasper and adjoining counties are cordially requested to join in celebrating the Republican desire for continued industrial Protection, Sound Currency, Fair Elections and General Prosperity. The citizens of Rensselaer will do all they can to make yonr visit pleasant and profitable. Come in delegations with music and banners. This will be the FIRST, LAST AND ONLY RALLY of the Campaign and we walit you to give the day, not grudgingly, but with old time enthusiasm. The parade will begin promptly at 10 4. M, at which time all marching delegations should reach the city. We have at great expense secured good speakers, real cannon, a uniformed drum corps, brass bands, glee clubs and one thousand rations for visiting 'delegations. . Prizes will be given to delegations as follows: Drums and Fife to the largest and best; Flag to the best decorated delegation; Flag to the best delegation from any school district m Marion township; Flag to the best Ddelegation from any precinct adjoining Marion township; Flag to the best delegation from any precinct of Jasper county not adjoining Marion township. The precincts of any township may unite to compet e for first prize. The County prizes will be awarded in proportion to the Republican vote in 1888.
The following officers and committees have been selected who will answer all enquiries toucning their several departments. ON FINANCE—L B. Washburn, William H. Coover, E. D. Rhoades, J. H. S. Ellis, Abraham Leopold, James Hemphill and C. C. Sigler, to whom Ml contributions should be sent. ON DECORATIONS OF SPEAKER’S STANDS—John E. Warren, John M. Wasson, Jay W. Williams, William Greenfield, Mrs.*T. J. McCoy, Mrs. Frank Foltz, Mrs. M. L. Spttler, Mrs. C. W. Coen, and Mrs. J. F. Warren who have fall authority as to decorations in town also selection and distribution of prizes. ON MUSlC—William B. Austin, Harry L. Brown and Rial P. Benjamin, who will have full charge of the instrumental and vocal music at the celebration. ON TRANSPORTATION AND ARTILLERY—Henry B. Murray, Harvey J. Dexter and William Warren who will secure the beet possible rates on railroads for cannon and persons. ON REVIEW OF DELEGATIONS—PhiIip Bine, George Morgan, D. S. Makeever, John C, Porter, Delos Thompson, Grant Warner and Shelby Grant, to whom all competing delegations should report as to line of march into town. ON RECEPTION—Thomas J. McCoy, Frank J. Sears and Joseph C. Harris. ON MOTTOES AND BANNERS—John King, B. Forsythe and J. C.
