The Special Session.

The county Commissioners were in special session Friday and Saturday of last Week, and on Monday, of this week. The Wheatfield ditch matter ocoapied most of the time of the session, and was, in tact, the cause of its being held. The matter was not settled however, and the hearing will be resumed Nov. Ist.

In the gTeat Iroquois ditch matter, important notion was taken, the papers in the case having been re tiled by the petitioners. The notion taken consisted in appointed J. B. Neal and' J.M. Holmes, both of the vicinity of Rensselaer, as viewers, and of 1,. A Bostwick, as engineer. These ap gointmente give general satisfaction and there is no good reason now why the preliminary work of this meet 1 important project should not be vlgjoronsly prosecuted.
