The Sore Arm Tramp Deception.

A youthful tramp, aged about 14 years, having an arm bandaged up and telling a most pitiful story of his woes, has been working on the sympathies of surrounding towns. In one place an officer took him in charge and had a doctor examine the alleged broken arm. Of course the arm was found to be all right, and the fellow waa simply ‘ working” the gullible public for funds to supply himself and seven other tramps with liquor and other luxuries. ‘Some of the tramps go so far as to deliberately make their arms sore by the application of croton oil, acids, or other means, preferring to stand, the pain for the harvest of nickles they raise from SympathetiOtaVictims, rather jtban,do an honest jlav’s labor.
