Death of A braham L. Sparling.
Abraham L. Sparlfeg, whose dangerous sickness was mentioned m these columns last week, died on Thursday afternoon, jjuly 14, aged 56 years, 8 months, and 9 days. His sickness was of about a year’s duration but had assumed a dangerous aspect so recently that his death occured before the great majority of his friends and acquaintances had even learned of his sickness. The cause of his sickness and death was some affection of the brain.
•‘ deceased was one of Jasper county’s early pioneers. He' was born in Allegheny Co. New York, in 1835, and in 1840 came with his parents to what was- then a part of Jasper Co., but is now in Newton Co., near the town Brook. few years later the family moved to the vicinity of-Rensselaer, and have lived here ever since. The deceased was twice married, first in 1859 , to Sarah Helen Clark, who died within less than a year after marriage. The second marriage was to Rosanna Coons, whose death occured in 1889. No children were.born to either union. He was the second in age of 6 brother and sisters, all of whom survive him. So also does hie aged father Samuel L. Sparling, al whose home he died. The funeral was held Friday afternoon, at the residence, and was largely attended. Interment was made in Weston cemetery; Rev. B. F.. Fefguson conducted the funeral services.
