Corn Planted.

Editor Republican.— Perhaps it is needful to drop a few thoughts to our fellow farmers.as the rains have caused much worry in getting com planted. Well some have done and some are yet plainting and the worry likely is partly Over, only that it was too late. Well now, farmers, don’t wony and if you do worry, get right to stirring that planted corn ground. Don’t think you must have a failure, that depends mostly on yourself. If you sit down or go to town whilst you should be after cultivating your planted com and giving it a fair chance (as it always should have, planted early or late,) land here, as well as elsewhere, is not strong enough to raise a big crop of weeds and of com at the same time. Gorto work and give your com a chance and don’t worry over the late planting. That is all past now. I<ook ahead, and go ahead, keep this in your mind always; and make your actions respond to your mind, strictly so. Neither does morn . grow in water. Take all obstuctions out of the way, that is a hindrance to the com that is in your power, and then trust Providence for the balance. Don’t worry about Him ; but worrry about yourself, if you must worry. The best way is to keep cool and stqdv yourlausiness, and-attend to it; if yofr are not quite ready, make yourself, ready, and don’t tarry. If it don’t suit your taste exactly, change your taste to suit it, and go ahead. This is applied to all farmers, none excepted. Bahki.ey Tp.
