THE CIRCUIT COURT.

The case for embezzlement, against W. S. DeArmond, a much respected citizen of Kankakee tp., was thrown out of court, there being no grounds for the action. It was brought by the Plano Manf’g. Co., of Plano 111. whose agent Air. DeArmond had been. A civil suit against him by the same parties was to have come up for trial yesterday, but Alessrsi Sutton and Austin, two of the leading officers of the company came down and dismissed tbe suit, and expressed great regret that any prosecution or suit had been begun, it all having resulted from a misunderstanding of the true facts of the case. In the case of /Darner vs Britton, on account, tried by jury, Darner was given a judgment for sl2 but was saddled with SBO costs. It was an appeal case. . The motion for a new trial for Joseph Conrad was argued yesterday afternoon.
