REMINGTON ITEMS.
Miss Callie Bonner returned last Thursday from a winter’s sojourn with her sister in Pierpont S. D. On the way home she stopped a few weeks with another sister in Chicago. We are happy to state the she found her father Mr. C. A. Bonner recovering from his long, dangerous and painful illness. He is novr able to walk a short distance after being confind to his room and bed since January fourth. Mr. Gallagher, at one time a resident; of this place, was in town early in the week, He still owns property in this place and vicinity. ~ A telegram was received, by Mr. T. Harris from Eureka Ark stating that Mrs. Nancy Sage Spurgeon was dangerously ill. She is suffering with a cancer and went to the Springs fobtreatment. Her sister Mrs. Feprick started to her by the next trainafter the message was received which was Saturday last. _l2. - Air. I. V. Smith, of Kokomo, well
known in this place has the contract for building the new glass factory at Hartford City, which when completed will be the largest window glass factory in the Mrs. S. Wells, of Indianapolis is visiting with her daughter Mrs. M. J. Phelps in this place. Mr. W. L. Gumm has bought Air. J. E. Holletts stock of hardware and will carry on business at the old stand where he has been employed for the past thirteen years. Mr. Gumm is an excellent young man and will doubtless do well. Milo Tuttle, and Miss Belle Barnes were married last Friday evening by Rev. A. H. DeLong at the residence of the officiating minister. Miss Hattie Chappel has had charge of Miss Bartoo’s room for the past few day s, Miss Griffin ’ not feeling physically able for the work. Prof. Dickerson spent a few days at Goshen, Ind. when he attended an educational gathering, the exact nature of which is not yet known to your correspondent. Mrs. Walter Rich and her son Lester, of Kankgkee have been visitnig relatives and friends in this place for the pust few days. Remingtonian.
