A Presbyterian Institute.

Our fortunate and progressive neighboring town of Gondland has been selected as the seat of the new Presbyterian College, to be endowed under the name of the “Western Indiana Collegiate Institute.” _The people of Goodland have contributed in land and money a sum equivalent to SIO,OOO for the institution, and additional funds have been provided sufficient to place the new college on excellent footing. A special meeting of the Presbyterian’s of theLogansport District was held at Logansport last week to take official notice of the project, and such official action in the matter as would be necessary. The present plan of the projectors is to canvass the churches of-the Presbytery for contributions to aid in the erection and maintenance of the college. A wealthy Presbyterian of Chicago is the principal benefactor of the college. It is a sure thing and a great strike for Goodland.
