Literary Note
With the Noven her number, Romance, the monthly magazine of complete stories, begins its fourth volume [Romance Publishing Company, Astor place, New York $2.50 a year.] During three volumes now completed, this beautiful magazine has published stories by almost every famous writer ot fiction in the world—Kipling, Haggard, Daudet, Robert Louis Stevenson, de Maupassant,, Zola, Bret Harte, Ouida, Maurice Thompson, Julian Hawthorne,Edith Sessions Tupper, and a hundred more; and this number contains a story by George Wm. Curtis, another by Zola, another by Grant Allen, and so on. The stories are all interesting, the most stirring complete stories in the world, in fact, and they are clean.
