Death of A. H. Wood.

Augustus H. Wood, whose sickness was mentioned last week, died Sunday afternoon, at liis residence nesr the Makeever House, after a brief illness. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. H. V. Weaver conducting the services. The deceased was 75 yra., 1 month, and 5 days old. Was bom at Worcester, Mass., and came to Madison, Indiana, when 21 years old, and to Jasper county in 1873. He was principal of the schools fn Madison and taught considerable after arriving in? Jasper county. He also served several terms as a justice of the peace. He leaves a widow and five children, the latter being all of adult age, or nearly so.
