Town Board Matters.
The most important act of the Town Board at its regular meeting Monday evening was to pass an ordinance requiring saloon-keepers to remove or open all screens, curtains and other obstructions, so as to give an unobstructed view of the interior of their places of business, every night from 11 P. M. to 5 A. M., all day on all Sundays, elections and legal holidays. It is a good ordinance and one which no saioonist who complies with the law, can object to. Another ordinance passed forbids the allowing of teams or horses to stand for more than 30 minutes at a time anywhere on Washington street, between Front and CulKn. Old side walks were condemned adjoining the properties of Geo. Havens, Berry Paris and I. C. Kelley. Chas. Platt was given the delinquent list to collect-, for a recompense of one per cent.
