Miss Margaret Mather , the actress; whose manager next season will be Joseph D. Levy, is on her way to Europe. One of her objects in going abroad is to secure a new play. The freshman class at Princeton is denorning itself, so to speak, and getting ready to be Quaker sophomores. It has passed strong resolutions condemning hazing next year. The pay-roll of the servants alone of George W. Childs' country place at Bryn Mawr amounts to SI,OOO a month. This is said to be the finest country residence in the United States.
