SECRET POLITICAL SOCIETIES.
Knights or Reciprocity and other Kansas Organizations In Session at Topeka. The Grand Lodge of the Knights oj Reciprocity is holding its iirst annual con-l vention at Topeka, in Lincoln Post Hall The executive council of the Farmers’ Alliance is in session at Alliance headquarters, and the Citizens’ Alliance is issuing circulars and pamplets. This, session of the Grand Lodge of the Knights oi Reciprocity will take steps toward organizing the State in such a way that thq nominations of the party can be dictated and its platform made if the order continues to grow as it has within the past sis months. Delegates are present from every lodge in the State, and the policy oi the organization, which is known in a general way to be the developement of th« Reciprocity idea, will be specifically set forth. The present session will be watched with great interest by the old leaders, whs have thus far stood aloof, claiming that secret political orders were contrary tc American institutions. They fear .that the order will feed upon the Kansas lovt for mystery and will grow beyond theli control. -The meeting is being held behintf closed doors.
