A woman who died at Mount Holly, N. J., on Thursday, had been confined to her bed for more than thirty years and had been attended by a physician every day of her illness. He therefore made over 10,950 visits, which is probably an unparalleled record. Boston papers show that fifty-seven corporations in Fall River, with an aggregate of $18,000,000 capital, have earned during the year less than two per cent., and in many instances nothing at all, and argue that labor has received its full share of compensation. One maa finds satisfaction in the thought that he is as good as ethers, and another in the knowledge that others are no better than he is.
