Remember we can save you money on boots and shoes. J, H. Willey & Sons. To the Citizens of Rensselaer The uudersigned own the property known as the electric works recently operated in the town of Renselaer by the Rensselaer Water, Light & Power—Company, and are in possession of the same. We own and have possession of said property by virtue of a Sheriff’s sale on foreclosure of mortgage executed by B. F. Ferguson, prior to the conveying said property to said Rensselaer Water, Light & Power Co., and also have such possession by virtue of a contract with said Company for a consideration which we paid to it. When we took possession of said works, they were badly out of repair, and we have at great labor and expense put them in condition so that we can and will furnish you good and satisfactory lights. We hope that the pretended and unfounded claim of J. S. Wolfe, M. C. Wright and Charles P. Wright will not disturb our friendty relations with the good people of Rensselaer. The only claim of these parties is based upon the pretended ownership of some of the stock of the Rensselaer Water, Light & Power Go., which of course was extinguished on the foreclosure of our mortgages. We are amply responsible and if they have any valid claim against the electric works in Rensselaer or against us, the courts are open for its adjudication. By the terms of our contract with the Rensselaer Water, Light Power Ct>., as well as by our purchase of the property at Sheriff’s Sale, we are entitled to collect all-Bills for lights ■sinee Nbv. iT 1890, and, expect the same to be paid to us. We will, of course, be responsible to our patrons for all bills paid to us or to our manager, C. W. Grant, as against the claims of said parties or any others. Thomson-Hocston Electric Co.
