Death of an Aged Woman.

The venerable Mrs. Lucy Griswold, mother of ex-trustee Elzer A. Griswold, died at her home north of Rensselaer last Sunday morning, of old age and general failure of the bodily powers. Her age was 82 years and 5 months. She was born in Addison Co., Vermont, in 1808, moved with her parents to Summit Co., Ohio, in 1816 ? and has lived in Jasper county, in the vicinity of Rensselaer, since 18G1. She was married in 1833 to Elizuo Griswold, who died in 1844. She was the mother of one son and two daughters, the latter of whom both died when children. She was a member of the M. E. church since 1824. The funeral was held Tuesday in Trinity M. E. church, Rev. T. F. Drake preaching the funeral sermon. Burial m Weston cemetery. Knives and forks at cost, J. H. Willey & Sons’.
