Trusts and Their Causes.

Toledo Commercial. Free trade England has far more ■ "trusts” of the nature referred to than protected America has. Where the government refuses adequate protection, commercial interests do as well as well as they can to protect themselves against the pauper of foreign countries. A little reflection on this will convince that without governmental protection commercial combinations for mutual protection are far more likely than where governmental protection is*accorded. Experience proves also what reason thus points out.
