The field of the real fight against the lottery evil is now in Congress, and there are strong signs that the lottery managers realize this fully and and are massing their corrupt forces there. The conduct of Congressmen in the progress of this fight should have the close scrutiny of all respectable citizens. There can be no honest* defense of the lottery swindle.
