Miss Anna Harlaeker, of Urbatna, Ohio, visited her parents in this place, returning last week. 0. P. Hopkins, of the News, leaves for a business trip to Cumberland Gap, this week. Mrs. Palmer, of Terre Haute, Mrs. Frank Shaw and Mrs. Parker of Indianapolis, are the guests of Mrs. W. H. Shaw.
Mrs. Bliss and her adopted daughter of Huron, South Dak., are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Bloom. Mr. JBbss is in the east, but will take in Remington on bis return, for a short visit with many friends.
Edward Branham, his wife and two children, of Indianapolis, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Biggs last week, leaving on Friday for Monticello. They will board in the rural districts near that town during Jiily and August. Messrs. W. B. Love & Sons . ’ . V- V.VJL . /
have been busy during the past few weeks out at the sand quarry. They have been erecting suitable buildings fonTthe works out there. The crusher arrived some time ago and work is being actively carried on. We omitted to mention last week that Mrs. Charles H. Price, and her two sons, late of Highmore, So. Dak., are visiting at the Price farm, but such is the case. They will visit friends here and elsewhere until September, then ttike their departure for Cumberland Gap.

Simmons, of the Renss elaer circuit, occupied the pulpit of the E - Church last Sunday morning and evening, preaching ‘with a fire and fervor that cansea uiany of his hearers to wonder he was not assigned to a more important* fieldof labor. The Birdie Blye, it and pianist, Miss gifted vocals ot Kentland, assisted by home talenv and by Mr. Smith, of the Emma Abbott Opera Co., will give an entertainment in the Christian Church, on Thursday evening of this week.
