WILSON SENTENCED.
Lee F. Wilson’s attorneys went before Judge Woods, Monday afternoon, with argument to sustain a motion for a new trial. Their client was convicted recently of violating the pension laws through his illegal methods of securing annulments of marriage contracts. By that means he sought to restore to the rolls soldiers widows who had lost their rights to pensions by marrying agair. The jury that convicted Wilson recommended him to the mercy of the court, but he was not satisfied with that, and hence his attorneys moved for a new trial. Judge Woods overruled the motion and ordered Wilson to pay SSOO in addition to costa of prosecution, amount, lag in all to $l,lOO.
