A Well Marked Line.
The boundary line betweenthe United States and Canada is not “imaginary,” as most people suppose, says the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. The fact i*. the lino is distinctly marked, from Lake Michigan to Alaska by cairns, iron pillars, earth mounds and timber clearings. There are 386 of theOr marks between the Lake of the Woods and the base of the Rooky mountains. The British placed one post every two miles and the United States one between each British post.
