The Indiana Itepuhlican Editors Association visited the . Natural Bridge, Virginia last Wednesday and remained over night. The bridge and cascade were illuminated in their honor and at U late hour ex-Govenor. Fitzhugh Lee, who chanced to be the ntighliorhodcl, came .over and made a speech. Thursday the editors went down the valley of the James and arrived at 4 P. M. That evening a drive was taken about the city to numerous points of historic interest. Friday, at 11 A, M., the party wil leave for Old Point Comfort.. The following is a brief clipping from the Indianapolis Journal, of June 19th. /Arrangements are made to givethe Indiana Republican editors a hearty reception, and to make their stay in Washington quite pleasant, when they arrive on Sunday morning. A reception committee has been appointed by the Indiana Rebubliean Club to meet the Iloosier editors and their ladies at Fortress Monore and .escort them to Washington. Leaving Fortress Monroe by boat on Saturday night, the Indiana people will arrive in Washington on Sunday morning and proceed to the Ebbitt House, where they are to be enter tained. Sunday will be spent at church and quietly looking over the city. There will be a meeting of the Indiana Republican Club on Monday evening to receive the Hoosier visitors. A real Hoosier love-feast is to take place at this meeting. About half past 9 o’clok the meeting will adjourn to the White Iloue, where President Harrison will throw open the executive mansion to the Republican writers from his native state, together with their ladies. There is to be nothing formal in the evening, which is to be spent at the AVhite House. Tuesday will be spent in -looking—about—the city and taking a pee]) at congress till 2 o’clock, when the party embark upon a special boat for Mount Vernon. After a look at tomb of the father and mother of the country, and a glimpse at the liirst huosehold of the land, the party will proceed across Potomac the to Marshall Hall, a beautiful! summer resort where supper will be enjoyed aviffi twilight spent.
