Extensive Preparations for tlie Grand« est Celebration ever held in The Town. Arrangements have been made and are now fully completed for one of the grandest eeledration’s ever held in the town of Renssslaer. Three hundred large, poster have been printed and 2,000 small bills have been and are being circulated in the towns and throughout the townships of Jasper and adjoining countiss. Committees are appointed in every township in the count}' to organize the people into delegations and bring them to Rensselaer to celebrate. Prizes of a Huge, fife, base drum, snare drum are offered to the largest delegations comming from any one township. , —— The order of exercies will be as follows: Forenoon. Artillery and bells at 5 a. ra. Decoration and music at 7a. m. Grand Parade 10:30 a. m. Assemble at grand stand. Music by Prof. Healey’s Cornet Band. Declaration of Indepenpenee C. W, Postill. Ten Minute Speeches, —By H. L. Wilson, S. P. Thompson, F. W. Reubelt, Samuel Sparling, M. F. Chilcote and J. 11. Jessen. — Afternoon. Exercises begining at 1:30 p. in. Potato race purse§s; Running race, 100 yards, free for all, purse $5; barrel race, §3; Shoe race, boys under 12 years, §2; Bicycle race, boys under 12 years,s2; Three legged race, for Standing barrel race $3; Rolling all ages $2.
The Garnd parade wil start at 10:30 a. m. headed by the Cornet Band, the K. of P., Fire Departmen, a band of 50 Indians and 20 cow boys will participate in the parade.
There will be a platform dance during the day the floor illuminated by electric light at night. A $250 display of fire works, the largest and grandest display of the kind ever seen in lteusselaer will take place at night, as a gaand finale to the great day’s proceedings. Arrangements, E. P.
