A Suicide on the Monon.
Monticello Herald. A j’oung mulatto woman was killed yesterday morning, [May 21st], by jumping from the north bound vestibule train, about 2£ miles south of Monon. She was intoxicated and had been acting boisterously on the train. She was seen to go out on the platform, and was followed by a gentleman in the ear. He saw her open the vestibule gate as if to jump off, and he tried to reach her, but was too late to prevent her. As soon as the train reached Monon an en-
gine was sent out after her, and ’her body was found in a pool of water by the track. She was well dressed and wore several finger rings. The coroner was notified, and will probably file his verdict to-day.
