The total vote for Clerk was 1262, necessary to choice 632. The highest candidate thus lacked 191 votes of enough to nominate, or very nearly 50 per cent, of what he did get. The total vote for Auditor was 1289; necessary to choice 645. Mr. Murray, the leader, thus lacked 134 votes of enough to nominate. His vote was 53 per cent, better than that of his highest competitor. The total vote on Treasurer was 1293; necessary to choice 647. Mr. Nichols lacked 130 votes of the nomination. His vote was 17 per, cent, greater than that of his best competitor.
