Call'for Senatorial and Judicial Conventions. A delegate Convention of the Republican party of the Senatorial District composed of Jasper, Bentoh and. Newton counties, Indiana, will be held at Fowler, Indiana, on Wednesday, June the 18th, 1890. at 2 o’clock p. m.. to nominate a candidate for State Senator for said district. Also: A delegate Convention of ,the Republican party of the 30th Judicial District will be held at Rensselaer, Indiana, on Wednesday, June the 18th, 1890. to nominate a candidate for Judge and a candidate-tor Prosecuting Attorney. The basis of representation will be one delegate for «ach 75 votes given for Gov. Hovey in 1888, and one -additional delegate for each fraction of 50 or over in each county, which gives to Benton county-. .22 delegates. Jasper connt-jwssjßTO-.. •-. ■ .21 delegates. Newton county.l7 delegates. The Chairman of each Central Committee in each county is directed to apportion the number of delegates allotted to his county among the several townships or precincts upon the same basis as near as may be. And to cause said delegates to be selected by the Republican voters of such townships or precincts as-seen its may be after giving-proper notice and not later than June 14th, 1890. It is recommended that at said Senatorial and Judicial Conventions the delegates there present shall vote by ballot upon call Of the roll of delegates in alphabetical order. It is further recommended that- alternates be selected for each delegate, designating particularly the delegate for which an alternate may act, but that no proxies be allowed and that the place of ;m.-absent delegate.
