The Republican town conventions were held last Monday evening, in accordance with the method described last week, with the result that the Republicans of the town took part in •the conventions with great unanimity and that an excellent ticket was harmoniously and peacefully nomiated.
The twelve primaries, held at as many different places, met at seven o’clock and chose delegates to the convention to meet at the court house, an hour and a half later, and also cast a ballot for choice of candidates. The result of the primary ballot is here summarized:
For Trustee, F irst District. —A. Leopold, -IS votes; ,1. R. Vnnnatta, Cl; Frank Foltz, 11. Total number votes for the ollice 120, of which Mr. Yanatta received a majority, and was thereby nominated. For TigrsfEK, Second District,— 11. 0. Harris 3, -T. 11. Adams, 33; R. B. Wilsson 23, J. M. Wason 39; C. W. Coen 13, F. Osborne. 11; B. F. Ferguson, S. No nomination having having been made by popular vote the convention proceeded to ballot for candidate:
First Ballot:— Adams 3 votes, Wasson G, Coen 2, Osborne 1. Second Ballot:— Adams 2, Wasson 7, Coen 2, Osborne I. Mr. Wasson was declared nominated. Trustee District.—-‘Popu-lar vote: K. 11.
