YOUNG GENERAL LOGAN.
The Grandson of ‘-Black Jack” Honored by the &t*t« of Ohio. A dispatch from Columbus, Ohio, of the 21st says: A military commission out of the ordinary line of promotion has been issued by the Adjutant General, S. W. Williams, Adjutant of the Fifth Infantry Ohio National Guards, writing to Colonel Gibbons, requested that a commission aa First Lieutenant be issued John Alexander Logan, the Third, born February 12, last a graLdson of the late Senator Logan. The request of Colonel Gibbons is that ont of , regard for the late General Logan, and considering the great interest of Captain John A. Logan, the Second, in the National Guards, as well as the little fellow's intended future, a commission as Firs' 1 > Lieutenant in the Logan Rifles be issued. The request was grauted, and the com - mission, signed by Governor Campbell and Adjutant-General Hawkins, was forward ml.
