Death of Mrs. John Groom.

Mrs. Mary Ann Groom, wife of John Groom, a well-known and esteemed citizen of Barkley township, died last Thursday at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 14 days. She had had a severe attack of LaGrippe, and had apparently recovered, but a few days before her death she suffered a relapse and died, as stated. She was bom m Rutland Co., England, was married in 1851 and was the mother of eleven children, only five of whom survive. Her funeral was held in the Al. E. church, last Sunday, Rev. T. F. Drake preaching the funeral sermon.
