From Gillam Township.
Wheat is looking well. Health is generally good. Sawing wood is the leading occupation at present. Mr. Geo. Freshour and family have returned from the west and have settled on their old farm, wa presume for a permanent stay. We are glad; indeed, to welcome them again. A. C. Prevo and family have moved back to their old homestead in this township. We trust they will not leave us again. Miss Lizzie Hinds has returned from her visit at Danville, 111. John Buskirk started for Nebraska last week. The good wishes of ninny friends go with him. Arch Pullins has been very sick, but is convalescent. Mr. and Mis. D. C. Provo are the happy parents of a son, 9| pounder. - . -y Mrs. Rachel Cloud and two children,, from Ft. Dodge, lowa, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Coppess. Warren Robinson, of Ft. Wayne, made his friends and relatives a Hying visit last week. Gillam has another gas well, located on land owned by Perry Deselms, near J. B. Guild’s farm. We have not yet learned of its extent. Sabbath School is still progressing at the Chapel, under the Superintendency of G.- D. Prevo. The schools of our township will close in three weeks. The teachers will hold their last institute on Saturday, March 15, at the Center school house. Everybody is invited to attend, as it will be the last institute for this school year and a good time is anticipated-
