OBITUARY.
Died, at the home of her parents, Alfred and Ora J. Armstrong, at Marlboro, Ind., Anna Blossom Armstrong aged thirteen years six months and twenty three days. Only two weeks and half before Anna came home from school at Valparaiso, Ind., to assist in caring for her sick mother, and just when she was able to sit up, Anna was taken down. Feeling unusually well the forenoon, of the day she was stricken seemed to be but a bright prelude to the serious illness of the afternoon, which resulted so fatally and at the end of five days. Anna was an unusually bright girl for one of her age her nature being more of one more advanced in years. She had a large circle of friends who mourn her death; was very apt in her studies and school work, and fond of music and all elevating subjects. A regular attendance at Sunday School, and a lover for Jesus inspired her sweet soul tender devotion to her Saviour, “Nearer My God To Thee,” and “It is well with my Soul” are only two of her favorite hymns, which she was always so glad to sing. Alas, her sweet voice can be heard no more on earth, but we feel better for such a spirit having dwelt with us and know that in heaven her voice will add to the music .of the angels. Taken away in her sweet, innocent girlhood is a severe blow but a belief that “He doeth all things well” makes the load easier to bear. The funeral was at her home, at 11 o’clock Tuesday just a week after her sickness took her down, and interment took place at Delphi. Ind., the scene of her early childhood, on the same day.
