A Statement from Jordan’s Trustee.

Mu. Editor: T wish to say, through your paper, that the statement being circulated here, to the effect, that I, as trustee of Jordan township, recommended the payment of a bill of S9B, to John Bit knell, for caring for Frank Eck, while there sick, is false. I will also further sa3 r , that if the report is being circulated for political effect, in the spring elections, that the persons engaged in circulating said reports are wasting their time and spoiling their own prospects, as I will not be for re-election. The object for which I accepted, viz: to get the township out of debt, will have been accomplished before my

term expires.
