A BIG BARN BURNED, WITH ITS CONTENTS.
The large, costly barn on the big Gregory Ranch, 2 miles northwest of Fair Oaks, was burned at an early hour, last Sunday morning, with all its contents. These last included 7 horses, 2 mules. 5 cows, 1 bull, 40 tousof hay, 1200 bushels of corn, buggies, harnesses and farming implements. The barn and a large portion of its contents were the property of Allen Gregory, of Chicago, while others of the contents belonged to the manager of the farm, Isaac Kight, who is a brother of Joseph R. Kight, of Rcnsaolaer. The origin of the fire is unknown, and Mr. Eight’s family : were not aware of its occnrence until i they were awakened by parties from ' Fair Oaks, who had seen the fire and I gone oat to the place.
