CORRESPONDENCE.
From Remington. Mrs. Wilson—mother of Charles Wilson of this place, died on Monday evening of last week. The remains were taken to her former home, near Longansport, for burial, last Tuesday. H. H. Walker, and C. P. Hopkins were among the sufferers from La Grippe last week, both having the malady rather severely. The cases of serious sickness in our place are getting better slowly. Mrs. Stiller is still prostrated with pneumonia, Mrs. Morehead is suffering with a cancerous tumor and Mr. George Griffin is recovering from a. severe attack of nervous prostration. Mrs. L. Black—formerly Miss Lillie Jones of this place but now of Denver, Colorado, is visiting the families of Mr Parker and Mr. Burger and numerous other friends. A quartette of two young ladies and two young gentlemen were out serenading last Wednesday night. The selections were beautiful and exquisitely rendered. Sylvester Chamberlin returned from a visit to Michigan last Friday bringing with him a number of young pine trees which he will plant out on his claim in Nebraska. In addition to the pines he will put out a thousand young maples. If he is a benefactor to his race who makes two blades of grass grow where only one grew before, how much more so is he who causes trees to grow. Mrs. W. H. Shaw is in Indianapolis with her son Frank and family. Her son is seriously sick but is recovering. ItEMINGTONIAy. From DcMotte. Mrs. C. 0. Campbell is nick with the inflamatory rheumatism. Mrs. Seagraves is very low with Lung fever, Dr. Glazebrook of Knox is treating her. Sick since last report are Asa Tyler and wife, George Freel, and three children, W. W. Cheever, three children of Dan. Grease! 1. Mrs. Burnham of Rensselaer is visiting at Samp. Erwin’s this week.
