From Ds Jlottc, Miss Lilly Troxeii of S treater, 111., is visiting her parents here this week. -Jay Spencer is taking aI ay off, having a time with the grip. Grandfather Fairchild was on the streets Saturday, the first time in five weeks. School re-commenced Monday morning after a week’s vacation. M. M. Tyler, of Kniman, is coming back to this place with his family. They ali havb to come back to this patadise. Samp Erwin is rather poorly with his old complaint; hope to see him around soon. C. C. Sigler is going to move up to the Sigler ranch in a few days; glad to welcome him and his family to our neighborhood. Everybody is signing the petition for a bridge across the Kankakee river on the Rensselaer road. If we can get that bridge it will open commerce with the outer world. W. B. Austin came over to get a breath of pure air, and a square meal. A young man by the name of Swartz was taken violently sick with thp grip, on Monday evening. It took three men to hold him while the fever lasted.
