Supt. Warren slipped in upon the teachers last week. Gus Munden has again turned school master, this time in the new school house just ovA the line in Newton county. Never in the annals of the township was there so much sickness at one time. In someof the schools fully one-half of the pupils are absent. The Wild Lily and Rose Bud schools are soon to give a play, similar to the one they gave two years ago. The protracted meeting closed at Brushwood without any outward demonstration except the thorough renovation of the church, which was much needed. Mrs. Mershon, the far-famed revivalist, assisted by ministers from far and near, are carrying on a senes of meetings at the Rose Bud church.
